The Greyhound

Megan Keeping has had 52 starts for 20 wins, eight seconds and eight thirds. Some of her wins include Dubbo over 400m in 22.76 (best of the day); at Dubbo over 318m in 18.15 (best of day); at Bendigo over 430m in 23.99 (best of day); at Bendigo over 425m in 23.94 (best of day); at Warragul over 400m in 22.82 (best of day); at Warrnambool over 390m in 22.50; at Shepparton over 390m in 22.15 (best of day); at Ballarat over 450m in 25.54; at The Gardens in 22.67 (best of the day); at Maitland in 22.31 over the 400m (best of the day), 22.30 (best of the day) and 22.29; at Maitland over 450m in 25.09 (best of day), 25.22 and 25.17, Warrnambool over 450 metres in 25.40, Wentworth Park over the 520m in 30.04 and 30.15 and The Meadows over 525 metres in 30.20.

Now in the hands of leading trainers Kelly and Brett Bravo, we are extremely confident Megan Keeping will continue to perform at a high level against the top class Victorian greyhounds.

The Greyhound

Noakis Girl was purchased for Race A Chaser Syndications at the Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Ready 2 Race Auctions and is daughter of Big Daddy Cool and Noaki Pace, making her a half sister to multiple Group 1 finalist and 2014 Group 1 Temlee winner Zelemar Fever.

Noakis Girl’s damline is well known and capable of producing group racing quality greyhounds. Her pedigree is littered with some of Australia’s best greyhounds and brood bitches in the last decade, including multiple Group 1 winner Betty’s Angel, Miss Mini Mouse, Vertex, Bo Frazier, Talk’s Cheap, Glamorous, Magic Sprite, and Hurunui Hitman; plus countless others. The Race A Chaser Noaki Syndicate can reasonably look forward to an exciting breeding career after a race career with Noaki.

Noakis Girl was purchased based on her trial efforts (see below) during the Bendigo R2R auction series, with the assessment that she was carrying treatable injuries in those runs. Race A Chaser can confirm that on examination, Noaki was suffering from a sprained toe on her left front foot, and a fractured right hind fibula. Both injuries were completely manageable given time and veterinary attention, and have since healed fully

It was our opinion that Noakis Girl had considerable upside on her exposed form at the time, and that she would develop in to a classy performer; with a strong breeding career to follow.

That assessment has since been confirmed with Noakis Girl now having started 12 times for six wins, one second and two thirds, with three of the wins in best of night times.

The Greyhound

Jaguara is a son of Milldean Panther and Flamingo Sands. Race A Chaser purchased him on the basis of his two trials during the R2R race series which demonstrated exceptional strength in the run to the line, suggesting potential for a middle distance or staying career.

Flash’s run home time of close to 12.50 was near best of day times; and he showed tremendous improvement in track sense between his heat and final trial. Being only 19 months of age at the time, we believed considerable improvement would occur through natural maturity and field experience.

Flash has since proven he is a promising stayer in the making, recording nice victories over the middle distance at Bendigo over 660m in 38.38 and Warrnambool over 650m in 37.76.

Flash is currently being trained by Steve Shinners in WA where we believe he will be able to develop into a handy stayer capable of racing at the city meetings.

The Greyhound

Coco was purchased for Race A Chaser Syndications at the Richmond Puppy Auctions in 2014 from the acclaimed breeders Dennis and Anne Barnes and is a daughter of Spring Gun and Little Bit Fancy.

Coco’s damline is littered with top class performers including Fancy Will (WON 2011 Group 1 Paws of Thunder), Fancy Dean (finalist 2012 Group 1 Golden Easter Egg), Fancy Jill (won 2013 Group 1 NZ Oaks), Mucho Client (finalist 2012 Group 1 Vic Peters Classic) and Fancy Liza (won 2013 Group 1 Association Cup), Fancy Mandy (finalist 2010 Group 1 Golden Easter Egg), Fancy Penny (Richmond 41.85 TR) and Tonight Tonight (finalist 2014 Group 2 Dapto Puppy Classic).

Due to her purchase through the Richmond Puppy Auction, Coco is eligible for the 2016 Richmond Puppy Auction race series . The series is only open to greyhounds who were entered in the 2014 Richmond Puppy Auction and comprises a $100,000 to the winner race in May 2016 over 535m, as well as two other feature races over 400m and 618m.

Coco broke in sensationally at Cudal, which is run by Dennis and Anne Barnes, and has been in pre-training in the Hunter Valley since September 2015. During that time she has continued to learn and improve and we are confident that she will develop into a talented TAB class greyhound.

Coco won her maiden at The Gardens on March 12, 2016, running a sizzling 22.68 over the 400m trip.
